Various Goodies Haul!

Thursday, 9 April 2015

I've picked up a few random pieces lately and figured I had enough to post a haul blog with them in. There's no real theme to this, it has accessories, jewellery and homeware bits in it, but hey, I love a good haul!

Philip Normal Sunglasses.

I already have these in black and red, and couldn't resist snapping them up in tortoiseshell too! I got these on depop for a bargainous £6.50. Philip Normal sells a lot of their designs at cheaper prices on depop, so it is well worth checking out, especially if you love the 90's trend.

Sugar & Vice OOAK Pentagram Necklace.

Another depop bargain! Sugar & Vice are ess_vee_ell on depop and often post one of a kind, sample pieces, and ex-photoshoot items at cheaper prices. I love a good pentagram, and these lasercut wooden pentagrams will be lovely paired with summer dresses.

George Home Warermelon Kingsize Duvet £14

No. I will not now, or ever be, over my watermelon obsession. It's the sweetest print! For £14, this was a steal and I had to get it. Totally our summertime bedding, sorry Stu!

Sugar & Vice Storm Cloud Necklace £9

Sugar & Vice had a huge spring sale of pieces that are soon to be retired, and having had my eye on this adorable necklace for a while I had to snap it up before it was gone! It's the perfect ironic necklace for a proper British summer.

Olivia Rocco Stag Bedding from Groupon

And no, I will also not now, or ever, get over my love of stags and antlers! I got this on Groupon for like, £12 I think. It's so lovely, I can't wait to put it on our bed.

Evans Black Gladiator Sandals

Oh Evans, I don't know what I'd do without you.  As basically the only place that seems to sell size 10 shoes for women that are actually cute, I love you! These are non-leather, and the zip up the back makes them super easy to put on. I love them so much. Huge thanks to my Mum for getting me these, the sweetheart. Now I just need the weather to get better so I can wear them all the time!

What bits have you picked up lately?

Much love,
Kitty xxxx

August Favourites

Monday, 15 September 2014

My favourites this month are new goodies, and new experiences! I'm trying to keep it as a bit of a mix so it's more interesting :)

First up, a new experience....

Offroading! I went offroading for the first time and had SO MUCH FUN. I'm not normally much of a daredevil, I get very anxious, but for some reason when it came to offroading, I got all overly enthusiastic and didn't even freak out when I drove into water that was maaaaybe a teensy bit too deep for the truck. I will definitely be going again! Thank you to my little bro for inviting me.

Some of you may know that I suffer with chronic pain. Basically, I have a headache, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and have done for 5 years. This means I can't wear my hair up, sunglasses can be hugely painful, and headbands are a no no. Not any more they aren't! Thanks to Janine Basil and her adorable wired headbands, I can wear one with no issues whatsoever, I have another on order and will be asking for some for Christmas. Yes I am totally already thinking about Christmas.

I broke my old phone case, which featured Lumpy Space Princess. That was totally unacceptable and therefore inspired my new case featuring my other favourite Adventure Time character, Lemongrab!

Thanks again to Depop, I got this Boo necklace from Sugar & Vice, perfect for Halloween. Which I like to think of as everyday. Ashen wanted in on this selfie and how could I resist that face?

I wrote a whole blog about my new watermelon hat from VelvetVolcano, but I just adoooore it and have worn it so much that I had to mention it again.

And the last one, I got a sneaky early peek at some of Sugar & Vice's new Witching Hour collection, which is amaze and I need it all. This is the pentagram necklace which is a total bargain at £11. You can also see the fringe I cut myself in recently.

September will likely be a quieter month, as I am already Christmas shopping. For real. I have a spreadsheet and everything.

Much love,

Watermelon Snuggles

Monday, 1 September 2014

I've blogged about my love of watermelon print, and I am still so not over it at all. Not long after I posted that blog, the awesome VelvetVolcano started making hats. And oh my glob I had to get one! All of VV's hats are vegan and cruelty free, Tamsyn is a fab fab lady.

The package, the hat came all wrapped up in tissue paper with a ribbon, a business card, and on the back of the watermelon paper is a cute little note too. Tamsyn used my real name instead of Kitty so I'm not sharing :P

And the hat I chose. Seriously, I could not resist! The watermelon hat is available in either classic red, or pink, which is adorable as well.

Front view

Side view

This hat is so soft and comfy. I love autumn, and I cannot wait for it to keep cool so I can wear this all the time! With my chronic pain condition, I need hats to be a good fit, anything tight or heavy adds to the pain, and this hat is so soft it isn't going to be a problem at all. Tamsyn is in the process of designing more hats and I can't wait to see what she does next, I'm going to need more!

Much love,

July Favourites

Wednesday, 6 August 2014

Monthly favourites are one of my favourite tags on YouTube, so I thought I'd give it a go on here instead! It won't be done necessarily every month as usually I'm pretty skint, but in July I did ok and got a few new bits I adore so wanted to share.

So first up is easy. It has to be dying my hair brown! I am so glad I did this. I ummed and aahed for a long time about going back to something that my natural colour might look like, I haven't seen it in a long time, and I love it. It looks thicker, it looks better, and I'm finding that colours I wouldn't have previously worn as eye makeup work now, yay! Huge thanks to Kerry and Kirsty for doing it for me.

Barry M Aquarium Nail Effects - Mediterraneum

This nail varnish looks so pretty in the light, and lasted so well, I wore it for a full week and it barely needed touching up. Lush!

Sugar & Vice Art Deco Arrow necklace £11

I got this necklace from the lovely sailorwookiee on instagram. I love purple, I love the glitter, it's small and cute and I love the mix of the wood in there as well.

Pineapple bag from Asda £8

I could not resist this bag when I went in for some food shopping. Seriously, it's so goddamn adorable! Sarah from Sugar & Vice informed me she has the watermelon version of this. I must have it. I need it! Why did my store not have it?!

Sugar & Vice Palm Tree Necklace £13
Palm Tree Maxi Dress from New Look Inspire

I love this whole outfit. The necklace is another from sailorwookiee, and the dress was a bargain on sale. It's my new favourite! Super comfy and it can be easily dressed up or down.

Sugar & Vice Aztec Arrow Necklace £13

My necklace is a slightly different version than on the website as it was a prototype from their depop. It is gorgeous. The mix of materials and patterns, the size, it's totally different from anything I owned and I got a lot of compliments on it. Depop is my new favourite app for finding bargains!

Eco Tools make up brushes

Animal friendly, eco-conscious and synthetic brushes. These are so soft and perfect for travel.

Sugar & Vice Melon Slice necklace £15
Sugar & Vice one of a kind wooden ram skull necklace, available in acrylic for £12

As soon as I saw that wooden ram skull necklace on depop I had to have it. The detail is absolutely stunning. I have it in the black as well, but this just totally blew me away. My melon necklace is slightly different from the website as it isn't mirrored, but with my recent watermelon obsession I had to have it. So so cute. This particular necklace is only available on their etsy, but can also come in purple, and orange.

My final July favourite is Depop. It's a website for selling clothes and jewellery on, I follow Sugar & Vice and Crown and Glory on it, they list lots of prototypes and one offs to keep an eye out for. Bargains galore! I'm thinking of finding out some of my jewellery that I haven't actually unpacked since we moved into our bungalow a year ago as I clearly don't miss them!

Hopefully I will at least have one or two things to show you next month for my favourites.

Much love,

Watermelon Obsession

Wednesday, 23 July 2014

Lately, I am totally addicted to watermelon print. It is so cute and colourful, I want watermelon everything! I think it's the contrast of colours, watermelons are so bright and fun, and tasty!

The only thing I have right now that is watermelon is the adorable vest top. It's from New Look but is no longer available on their website, however ASOS do have it! New Look Inspire Watermelon Print Vest £8.99. My local New Look did have it in stock when I last popped in so you may get lucky.

ASOS Curve Bikini Pant in Watermelon Print £16

ASOS Curve 50's Halter Bikini Top in Watermelon Print £18

How ridiculously cute is this bikini? Totally perfect for a summer holiday, or even for just lounging in the garden. I'm a sucker for visible bra straps (classy, I know!) and am really tempted to get this bikini top to wear as a bra just so the print can be visible.

Green Watermelon Fruit Clutch from New Look £9.99

I just love this! I'm not much of one for clutch bags, I tend to find I forget I'm holding them and drop them, but this one has the cute wrist strap so might actually work for me. It zips up at the top rather than a popper so is nice and secure for keeping all your essentials safe.

Tasty Watermelon Necklace £22 by Little Miss Delicious

I literally squealed with delight when I saw this go on the LMD website. So cute, so colourful, and I love that happy little face. Perfect summer cuteness.

Watermelon Stripes iPhone Case £13 by Memeskins

I have a really cute Lumpy Space Princess iPhone case but it just started to crack....I think a watermelon case might have to be my replacement!

Watermelon Fruit Tie Dye/Dip Dye Cotton Tote Bag £10 by HannahDaviesTextiles

I love a good tote bag. Handy for shopping or for school, and so reasonably priced. This would be perfect for the beach.

Watermelon Necklace £20.37 by ILoveCrafty

There is so much adorable laser cut goodness in this shop. I love the cute bite marks, and that the watermelon skin is a separate piece, I think it adds really nice movement.

Modcloth Picnic Person Dress $54.99

I LOVE the subtle hint of watermelon in this dress. Most watermelon prints are very obvious, this is just that bit classier because it is a small slice of it ;) It's available in everything from an XS to a 4X.

Snifty Watermelon Scented Pen £2.95

Yeah. I think I need this for the office. I never have cute pens, and this is the cutest!

Mini Watermelon Bowl £14.38 by Vegetabowls

This store sells everything from these mini bowls up to giant serving bowls in watermelon print. I want them all! They are so kitschy and unusual.

There is SO much watermelon cuteness out there right now, though sadly plus size clothing does seem to be lacking in options so much. If you know of more, tell me, I want a watermelon skirt!

Much love,
Kitty xxxxx

Sugar & Vice

Tuesday, 15 July 2014

Anyone who reads this blog may have noticed a familiar name pop up over and over again, that of Sugar & Vice. To say I am a fan is an understatement, I adore everything they do! I own a lot of their jewellery and dream of more!

Swimming Mermaid Necklace £20

Double Stacked Name Necklace starting from £13

XL Gemstone Necklace £36

Solar System Necklace £28

This is just a small selection of what I currently own. Every birthday and at Christmas I beg for more! Accessories are such an important part of my outfits, they can change something from just OK to amazing, and I love that Sugar & Vice are a 2 person independent company. They are so creative and truly lovely people to boot! Here is some of my current wislist -

Melon or Orange Slice necklace £15

I am in love with watermelon print right now. It's so cute and summery!

The Supreme Necklace £17
I am a big fan of American Horror Story and I love the styling in Coven, I recently got some awesome long kimonos and totally need this to go with them!

There are soooo many gorgeous designs on their website and etsy. They also make earrings, bracelets, hair accessories, bags and apparel. So much awesomeness! They have made me totally custom designs that have been completely perfect and better than I could have even imagined, so much love for Sugar & Vice!

Much love
