Size 10 Shoe Haul!

Thursday, 5 January 2017

Some of my more regular readers may know that I have pretty big feet. They are a UK size 10 in fact! It makes shoe shopping rather interesting, especially as I don't wear any animal products. This Christmas was a rather unusual one for me, as I got shoes galore! As I have size 10 feet I thought I'd share all my new shoes and where they are from so other big footed types might get some inspiration too.

First up, my husband Stu totally surprised me and got me these amazing fringed faux suede ankle boots from Yours Clothing. I am obsessed with these! I shared them on my Facebook dropping serious Christmas hints and Stu ordered me them as soon as he saw them.

These are like the Dolly Parton boots of my dreams. The heel is cute but not too high, and I can't wait to wear them. I just wish they also did a longer calf length version too!

I've been wearing Converses constantly since I was about 12 years old, and I also dropped major hints about these as a potential Christmas present idea. I've got a few pairs of hi top Converses but no lo tops, so these produced instant lust.

These are part of the Andy Warhol Converse collection, and this particular style is available in up to a size 13 which is awesome. The lips featured on the shoes belong to Marilyn Monroe and I love that they are pink and red.

I'm not a Warhol fan, but these were too much fun to resist. A pair of quirky Converses can really finish off an outfit and I can't wait for dryer weathers to wear these constantly. Thanks Momma!

I've shared my love for the men's shoe section on ASOS before, and these were a great find. My Nanna kindly got me these River Island iridescent trainers and they are so cool. As with all the shoes I've featured, these are faux leather, and the iridescent patent area is like a beautiful oil slick in the sun. The photos really do not do these justice!

These are available in up to a size 12 and the 10 fits me great, because they are from the men's section they tend to be a wider fit which is great for babes with wider feet. Never be afraid to shop the men's section! Gender is a construct society made up, feet do not have a gender.

Now these I didn't actually ask for, but my Mum saw them and got me them and they are SO cute. Another Yours Clothing special, these go up to a size 10 too. These are the open toe platform shoes and I don't think I've ever owned such a 'normal' and 'fashion' pair of women's shoes. Discovering Yours do a size 10EEE has been a revelation!

These has a platform on the front so the heel is less intimidating. I find platforms so much more comfortable than heels without.

And the final pair (I told you it was a shoe heavy Christmas!) are another Yours Clothing find from my Nanna. I love a good gladiator sandal and the other ones I have from Yours are ridiculously comfy so I am hoping these are too.

My shoe collection has drastically expanded this Christmas and I really need to rearrange my shoe cupboard now!

Much love,

A Little Black Dress With Navabi*

Tuesday, 10 May 2016

Navabi are a brand who consistently produce beautiful pieces, and stock lush designers. They sell a great range of high end designers and always have me ogling their dresses in particular. A good black dress is a total wardrobe staple, and they have so many different variations on the LBD theme! A LBD should be versatile, so you can dress it up or down, and flirty and fun.

Silver shoulder harness - SimplyBe
Black sandals - Yours Clothing

I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it. I love a chiffon overlay and this has two! It gives such beautiful movement, I felt like I was gliding everywhere. It has a wrap over effect and the 'V' finish is both front and back. I must admit, the front 'V' had a stitch in that was a little high for me so I snipped it open.

I love the dip hem on this. I think with a more simple dress it really adds something extra to it. This also has a tie section at the back that I forgot to photograph but is a pretty detail. I'm 5ft 11 and the length of this falls just about knee level on me at the front which is just where I like a dress to hit.

As the dress is quite simple, I opted to pair it with a more unusual piece of jewellery, a shoulder harness from SimplyBe that I was bought for Christmas but haven't had chance to wear yet. I love it! SimplyBe have a gold version of this now, but Ready to Stare do incredible body harnesses and chains for plus sizes babes and you should check them out for your own version of this! They do some seriously amazing chains I need for my jewellery collection bad.

I went for a rose gold colour with my makeup to match my new pink ombre hair and a Helena Bonham Carter inspired hair do. A messy curly up do that was just sort of plonked on my head. I don't usually wear my hair up, but it was so warm the day I wore this outfit I just had to. The dress itself was really light weight in the warm weather. I wore it to an engagement party and while other guests were feeling the heat I stayed relatively cool!

I really love this dress and have worn it twice now in as many weeks. The Zizzi range on Navabi is a fave of mine, the quality of their materials is wonderful and they have so many fab LBDs!

I also have a sneaky discount code to share for new customers at Navabi! Use the code iamlovinit15 for 15% off! This code is valid until 31/5/2016.

Much love,
Kitty xxxx

Various Goodies Haul!

Thursday, 9 April 2015

I've picked up a few random pieces lately and figured I had enough to post a haul blog with them in. There's no real theme to this, it has accessories, jewellery and homeware bits in it, but hey, I love a good haul!

Philip Normal Sunglasses.

I already have these in black and red, and couldn't resist snapping them up in tortoiseshell too! I got these on depop for a bargainous £6.50. Philip Normal sells a lot of their designs at cheaper prices on depop, so it is well worth checking out, especially if you love the 90's trend.

Sugar & Vice OOAK Pentagram Necklace.

Another depop bargain! Sugar & Vice are ess_vee_ell on depop and often post one of a kind, sample pieces, and ex-photoshoot items at cheaper prices. I love a good pentagram, and these lasercut wooden pentagrams will be lovely paired with summer dresses.

George Home Warermelon Kingsize Duvet £14

No. I will not now, or ever be, over my watermelon obsession. It's the sweetest print! For £14, this was a steal and I had to get it. Totally our summertime bedding, sorry Stu!

Sugar & Vice Storm Cloud Necklace £9

Sugar & Vice had a huge spring sale of pieces that are soon to be retired, and having had my eye on this adorable necklace for a while I had to snap it up before it was gone! It's the perfect ironic necklace for a proper British summer.

Olivia Rocco Stag Bedding from Groupon

And no, I will also not now, or ever, get over my love of stags and antlers! I got this on Groupon for like, £12 I think. It's so lovely, I can't wait to put it on our bed.

Evans Black Gladiator Sandals

Oh Evans, I don't know what I'd do without you.  As basically the only place that seems to sell size 10 shoes for women that are actually cute, I love you! These are non-leather, and the zip up the back makes them super easy to put on. I love them so much. Huge thanks to my Mum for getting me these, the sweetheart. Now I just need the weather to get better so I can wear them all the time!

What bits have you picked up lately?

Much love,
