Meet Sinbad!

Sunday, 9 August 2015

If you follow me on any social media, you'll already know by now, but Stu and I added a new furbaby to our zoo, the ever so gorgeous Sinbad.

Isn't he just so handsome?! He's a lush blue, with green eyes. Well, currently one green eye, and one eye with a blood clot. Some unmentionable #&$% shot him in the eye with an air rifle. I just don't understand people sometimes. He's on various tablets and eyedrops to help it, he takes his tablets good as gold, mostly because the steroids make him super hungry so he just hoovers them up with his food... the eyedrops not so much! It's healing well, and he isn't bothered by it. He does seem to be blind in that eye, he doesn't notice movement on that side.

He's the fussiest little man. Really cuddly and he just wants love. Which we are more than happy to give him! He loves the face rubs.

We are slowly introducing him to the other cats and Ashen. Ashen decided he would be submissive to him immediately so I am very hopeful it will all go well!

You can see his pupil a little in this one, and see that it isn't right. Poor mite.

As with all our furbabies, Sinbad is a rescue who has come to us one way or another. There was no way we weren't going to take him once we found out about his eye, and then met him. He's utterly gorgeous and I love him to bits already.

Expect many more photos of all the babies on my instagram as always! I haven't take 'proper' photos of Sinbad yet with my real camera as I didn't want to subject him to that quite yet, but soon!

Much love,
Kitty xxxxx

KITTIES!

Thursday, 26 February 2015

Sometimes I am super lucky and I get to take photos of adorable furbabies. My Auntie and Uncle were recently given a beautiful ragdoll kitten by his Mum who breeds them, called Khali (short for Princess Khaleesi) so I just had to take some photos of her for them, and of their handsome moustache cat Reggie too!

Khali! Isn't she lovely? She's 3 and a half months old.

*smush*

Those blue eyes and that pink nose!

Reggie

This photo kind of sums Reggie up.

Isn't he so handsome? I love his moustache.

Sometimes she looks so much like Grumpy Cat!

*melts*

And a final one of the super handsome moustache tuxedo cat Reggie.

Aren't they both so gorgeous? Such caring and affectionate furbabies. Squish!

Much love,

Halloween House Goodies

Friday, 17 October 2014

My love of Halloween doesn't stop with fashion, it also follows into how I like to decorate our house! We have skull wallpaper in our bedroom, the colour theme is black, white and red, and thanks to Halloween, I've been grabbing more little housewares to decorate with!

Supermarkets have gotten really into Halloween this year, which is always awesome news, Asda in particular. I couldn't resist these cute pieces, all less than £10 each.

Beware sign from Asda
Cute, and not so Halloweeny that you  couldn't easily have this around all year round. Not that anything being 'too' Halloweeny will stop me!

Boo to You Ghost from Asda
I haven't found a great place to hang this adorable and glittery ghost yet, but he was far too cute to resist! He is totally staying up all year round, just look at him!

Happy Halloween Sign from Asda
Ok, so I probably can't have this up all year, but it's glittery and cute, and I love that it isn't just the typical Halloween colours. It's hung from a light in our hallway to greet guests :D

Silver Skull £8 from Tesco
I feel like I could pretend to be some sort of glam rock Shakespeare with this skull. It's very weighty and well made, and it can most certainly be out all year round! I love skull motifs, and this is a fab one. It's not quite glitter or sequins, but still incredibly shiny silver.

Skull Candle £4 Asda
This candle was a must. I knew Stu would love it and that I had the perfect candlestick ready and awaiting a candle. This candle appears to be red on the inside, so I think as it burns it'll actually look like dripping blood. Wow! Love that attention to detail. It makes me think of the catacombs.

Black and Silver Glitter Pumpkin from Asda
This came in several different colours, but the black and white/silver is a classic colour combination that matches our front room perfectly. I got 2 of these, I think they were £1 or £2. They are polystyrene, so not super durable, but for something to sit on a window sill you don't need anything heavy duty!

Wooden Boo Sign from Asda
Adorable! I love the patterns in this, they really make it. Sort of Beetlejuice-cum-Halloween inspired, the swirly writing and raven meant this was destined for a spot in our front room again.

Happy Halloween hanging sign from Asda
And finally, another Happy Halloween sign. I loved the happy little facial expression and cross eyes on the skulls, as well as the glitter and colours. This is propped up right now rather than hanging anywhere, but I will find somewhere for it.

One thing I do desperately want is a Halloween wreath, seen any good ones? Let me know!

Much love,
Kitty xxxxx

Halloween Beauty

Thursday, 4 September 2014

I figured with my love of Halloween, a blog dedicated to some beauty products inspired by Halloween would be perfect!

So these are my most recent purchases. I've been wanting to try the Gelly nail paints from Barry M for a while, I got Satsuma and Mango. I also decided to try one of the Silk nail effects in Meadow. What could be more perfect for Halloween than a super glossy orange nail?

Barry M Gelly nail paint in Mango

The Gelly nail paints are supposed to be super hi-shine, and I think they are! The reflect light really well, and considering I broke a nail the day after painting them, it didn't even chip, so I am impressed.

A little while ago I posted in my first Beauty Haul blog that I bought one of the Barry M Nail art pens. I finally got around to giving it a go to really creep up my orange nails.

Unlike most nail art pens, this is actually built like a felt tip pen. It comes dry, and you push the nib of the pen inside the pen repeatedly to get the polish flowing, it then keeps itself ready to use. This is by far the easiest nail art pen I have ever used. Most require you to squeeze the polish out as you use it, but with this is does that for you, so you can just concentrate on actually decorating your nails, genius! I painted both hands in different patterns to show how easy it is to use, I'm mostly ambidextrous, but I much prefer writing with my left hand.

So this is my right hand, done with my dominant hand. I think that I was able to write with the pen shows how smooth is is to use. I went for polkadots, a little ghost, boo, and a french tip gone goth.

I love the cobweb I did on my thumb the most :D totally doing that all year round! (My rings are from BloodyMary Metal)

And my left hand, done with my less-used-to-write-hand. The top is supposed to be a lightening bolt which is a little wonky, then a spiral, a cobweb and a little octopus.

So smooth and easy to use. I am definitely going to look at getting this nail art pen in other colours, it currently comes in black, silver and pink, and silver is calling to me.

Eylure Nail Art Kit £2.50

The gold glitter skulls in this foil kit are just perfect for a glam Halloween look!

Lush Passionate Lipstick £14.50

Lush are all vegan and cruelty free which is amazing, I would so love to give this lip stain a go! This is a gorgeous pinky-purple colour and it makes me think of fairy tales.

I never dress up at Halloween, cause I like to live it all year round, but what are you dressing up as this year?

Much love

Cacti - An Addiction

Friday, 25 April 2014

So I have to admit.... I have a problem. I have an addiction. To cacti, and succulents. Since we got our own house last year I've been determined to fill it with plants. Only thing is, I'm not great at keeping plants alive. So, I decided I'd get a couple of cacti when I saw some cute ones on a trip to Asda, the three in the header. A year on, they are still alive and well, and I've been adding to the collection ever since!

This is a Christmas cactus Stu bought me :) I'd rather have a cactus than flowers any day of the week! I can keep it, and it's so cute. Flowers are dead in a week, months on I still have this cactus and everytime I look at it I smile and remember Stu got me it.

These are some closeups shot with my olloclip on my iphone that I have in my kitchen. They have flourished in the spot they are in, and are now flowering :D I've never seen a cactus flower before, so exciting!

These I got a couple of weeks ago, I have no idea what the one on the right is, I was just intrigued! If anyone knows please do tell me, the sticker on the pot says aloe, but I don't think that is what aloe looks like.

Some more I got in the last few weeks (my hairdressing school is right by a Wilko and I cannot help but grab a couple when I pop in on my lunch!). I liked the little chunky one, he is just adorable, and the little spikey twins.

And my most recent addition, this adorable ceramic pot with 3 cacti in it. We went to buy Stu's sons Venus Fly Traps today for their bedroom, they have been so intrigued by them and their bedroom appears to be an ideal habitat for them, and I spotted these cuties. I mentioned that we would have to go back when I had some pennies, and Stu decided to surprise me with them while I grabbed some ceramic pots for my other cacti. He is a cutie :) The boys decided we had to name our new plants, so their fly traps are Finn & Jake, and mine are Princess Bubblegum (one looks like it is wearing a crown), Marceline (the spikey one), and Lumpy Space Princess, the little chunky one! Perfect :)

I just think cacti and succulents are totally cute, and I can't help but get them! I've run out of room on my kitchen window sill now, so more will be living in our bedroom :D always room for more!

Much love,
Kitty xxxxx

Little Miss Delicious

Tuesday, 15 April 2014

I have known Maxine Ashleigh, the wonderful lady behind Little Miss Delicious, for a very long time. Before Little Miss Delicious even existed. It has been so awesome to see her start a company and watch it grow tremendously! LMD is all handmade, homebaked food based cuteness, from jewellery, to bags, mirrors and adorable hair bows. If you like pinup kitsch, LMD is SO the company for you.

My love of pizza and pizza themed goodies is relentless. Get the jewellery from the fast food section on LMD and the jumper here.

First off, the jumper. Oh my glob this might be the softest jumper I have ever worn, the inside is just lush! Even my cat Patches adore it, when I wear it she insists on snuggling me.

See? Patches seal of approval.

Now the jewellery. In the above picture I'm wearing the normal Pizza Necklace, the Valentine's Day Pizza Necklace, the Pizza Ring, and a custom all Pizza Charm Bracelet. I also have the Pizza wearings in but you can't see those. For me, the necklaces are a little short, so I wear a necklace extender with them, but I am a chunky monkey. I've owned these for a few years now, and the glaze is perfect, no marks or damage at all, Maxine really pours her heart into making sure her jewellery is the best she possibly can, and it really shows.

Now, my favourite time of year with LMD is Halloween. I just adore creepy cute and Maxine does it so well. How cute is that eyeball necklace? I've worn it to death and it is still perfect. I have a matching eyeball bracelet too, but I slammed my wrist in the car door and broke it :( so I will be aiming to get another this Halloween!

I also have this Zombie cardigan from the Halloween range, it's nice and light, so I like wearing it in spring and autumn. It's stayed really soft after a lot of washes (I'm a clumsy eater, what can I say!). The applique has also stayed perfectly too. This is not currently available.

And another Halloween goodie, the vampire cupcake, super cute! A twist on the regular cupcake necklaces that LMD carried, this has cute fangs and the red/black colours. This is only available at Halloween, but I am sure Maxine could be convinced to custom something similar at any time of year!

Maxine is a personal hero of mine. She suffers from a chronic illness and still manages to run her own business and kick ass full time. She is genuinely lovely, as is her company!

Love,
Kitty xxxxx
