Country Inspired Goodness

Friday, 6 February 2015

I recently went to see Surreal Panther at Yardbirds (although sadly my chronic pain was playing up so I didn't actually get to see them play). I did however get to see Stop, Stop! Stop, Stop were absolutely amazing! Amazing glam rock fun and they obviously had so much fun as well. I think I saw the most metal thing I will ever see in the form of Jacob from Stop, Stop climbing on top of a table playing the Pink Panther theme tune on his bass. Metal.

I mean seriously, look how glam and pretty they are. They are the most fun band I have seen in forever and I would love to see them again!

The outfit was a tough choice for me. I've been having really bad problems with my eczema lately and really wanted to be covered. Like, from my ankles to my wrists. Which in somewhere like Yardbirds, which is notoriously warm all year round, I would have fainted.

Dress - ASOS Curve
Shirt - ASOS Curve
Leggings - ASOS Curve (no longer available)
Boots - Doc Martens

Off the shoulder dress means no double layer on my shoulders, and that shirt is super soft and breathable, so it wasn't too much to wear and be covered. I convinced myself to roll my sleeves up because that just about covered my eczema.

Eye makeup - Sugarpill
Lipstick - Barry M

Isn't my necklace so cute?! Stu got me it for my birthday last year and I love it. I felt all kinds of country in this outfit and that is always a good thing by me!

Much love,

Pout at the devil!

Friday, 6 June 2014

Last night Stu and I headed out to see Pout at the devil and Wicked Faith play at Yardbirds. It was an awesome fun night, Wicked Faith were great, female singer and female bass player caught my attention straight away, and they were from Norwich to boot, I lived there for 3 years and have a total soft spot for it. I bought their album so I can listen to them again. Pout at the devil were amazing fun, all glam rock and 80's rock, think Bon Jovi, Poison, Motley Crue, my perfect sort of cover band! I wanted a cute outfit, something I could dance in. So my favourite dress it was!

Thank you Stu for the photo

My adorable sunflower dress is from ASOS but has already sold out, it's shorter than I would usually wear, but it makes me feel cute and confident so it doesn't bother me. If you aren't plus sized they do still have the straight sized versions of this available. I teamed it up with some leggings and my trusty Demonia Disorder 301 boots.

I wore my Bete Noire Jewellery You're so cool necklace to finish the look off. I adore this necklace, but I have to wear a necklace extender with it otherwise I can't do it up, Bete Noire necklace chains are short to pre-warn, but the jewellery is totally worth it!

I danced my ass off all night and my hair was amazingly big, good times!

Much love,
