A Morris-Wood Wedding : Preventing Chub Rub With Chaffree*

Thursday 2 June 2016

There are so many things you have to think about on your wedding day. Will everyone turn up that we've paid a fortune to feed? Will the weather stay nice? Will all the DIY we've done be worth it? The last thing any body needs to be worrying about on their big day is chub rub. Chaffing. Thigh rubbing. No matter your dress size, it happens. No bride or groom needs to be worrying about thigh friction on their big day.

Step in Chaffree. Chaffree make make briefs and boxers designed for men and women in a variety of designs to help keep you comfy during the summer season. They are made of a material called Coolmax which is designed to pull moisture away from the skin and help keep you cool. I opted to try out the knickerboxer style in the longer length of 8 inches in black.

To really know if something like this works, you need to wear it for a full day, in the heat, with plenty of walking around. I wanted to be able to give the most honest review I could, so I've worn them for 2 days to really see if they work. And guys... I am so so impressed. I've tried cutting leggings off, I've tried cycling shorts, and none of them are remotely comparable.

Because of the material these knickerboxers are made of they don't budge. I've worn them pulled right down stretched out, and also pulled them up a little to make them a tad shorter, and once I'd put the where I wanted, they didn't move. They are really light and comfortable, it felt so freeing to have my knees out and not have to worry about my thighs! They are a really stretchy and breathable fabric, so comfy in the heat too, and they don't leave marks or imprints because of the lightweight stretch material.

And no chub rub. Not at all. I forgot I was wearing them to be quite honest, which is always a good thing. I plan on investing in a few pairs of these in different colours. They come in black which I opted for as most of my clothes are black. They also sell them in a mocha colour, white, and a light pink. That they come in a mocha colour is great, they might not have a nude for all skin colours but the mocha is a much better option than just the traditional 'nude' that most companies offer that is useless to anyone who isn't white.  I am so impressed with these and can't recommend them enough!

There are 2 lengths, 2 waist heights, you can buy multipacks in one colour or mulitple colours. They sell options for both men and women, so if you're a guy fretting about chub rub under your kilt on your big day, Chaffree have got you covered with their long boxer short designs! Their size range is really inclusive, from a size 6 up to a size 34 for women, and from a 28 inch waist up to a 54 inch waist for men.

Chub rub can happen to anyone, don't let it ruin your wedding day! I'll be rocking these under my wedding dress, and knowing I don't have to worry about chub rub, or flashing my knickers with over enthusiastic dancing is awesome!

Much love,
Kitty xxxx

  1. I have always fancied these as chub rub has at times ruined my day especially at a festival as no one wants inner thighs on fire. So it is good to know these are reliable and worth having, I think they are on my to buy list
