Kustom Kulture

Thursday 10 September 2015

I recently went to a wedding with a difference, it was held at Kustom Kulture in Lincoln! I was really excited for it, because I love events like this. I knew there would be beautiful cars, and gorgeous art, plus the marriage of two beautiful people.

How amazing is this cake? I had to sneak a photo of it to show you. I love the skulls and the colour theme.

Headband - Roses and Clementines
Necklace - Sugar & Vice

Dress - ASOS Curve
Pleather Jacket- Matalan
Sneakers - Converse

While I knew most of the guests at the wedding and the event would be rocking the 1950's look, I've always been awkward and decided in that case, I'd go for the 80's instead! The dress was a total bargain from ASOS. It was £13.50 in the sale! It's totally unlike anything I currently own, the colour in particular is a very pale peach/pink sort of colour, which is out of my comfort zone for sure. I decided to rock a pleather jacket and Converses with it so that it didn't feel too light coloured, and it gave it a bit more edge. I was a bit wary of such a light colour for a wedding, but Stu and my Nanna assured me it was ok!

The ceremony was absolutely lovely, Jo the bride wrote the most beautiful speech. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house! My eyeliner needed a touch up after that. Then, we went exploring around the event!

I had spotted this Chevy Impala on my way in and had to go see it up close. It's my all time dream car, I had to pose with it. Much drooling was done.

Cranfield's Curiosity Cabinet was there, I've seen their pieces at a few events and always have much lust for them.

I fell in total love with Luxe Decor and their work. How fab are those lampshades? I'd love one with a bottle of Bombay Sapphire at the bottom and zebra print on the top. Though Stu is more of a whisky man. I didn't have much cash on me, but I did snap up a print!

Perfect for our art wall!

These fab mounts were by ABH Tattooing. I love the glitter and zebra print!

I also discovered Chupacabra. They stock some older Candy Strike designs, so it's now about the only place you can buy them now that they are sadly no more. The girl running their stall was super sweet, and looked a total babe in a Candy Strike skater dress. I ordered one of their dresses in their final pre-sale, so I'm excited, albeit sad to get it.

I'm a Liverpool fan, so I had to get a snap of this scooter!

I also really loved this art by Mel Langton. If I'd have had more cash I'd have grabbed this piece in the silver frame.

It was a really beautiful day, even with high winds and cold temperatures, and it was a privilege to be a part of Jo and Rob's day. Thank you guys, and I wish you the most amazing and wonderful marriage together!

Much love,
Kitty xxxxx

ps. Also, how damn good does Stu look in a suit? *heart eyes*
